Need of the hour is to increase the number of test regarding the TB. In Government Hospitals, the test are supposed to be out of pocket expenditure. Right from the OPD till the out come of the result all the tests and diagnosis irrespective of the income is to be free. The movement between the different sections in the hospital for consultation should be minimized. The person who come alone for diagnosis can not exhaust himself between moving between the floors and steps.
India is one of the high TB prevalence country in the world.
Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program is renamed into National Tuberculosis Elimination Program.

TB notification is very important in the process of TB elimination by the Public and Private sector Hospitals. Prior to notification the swab need to be collected from the source.
If the source is not the CBNAAT location, the collected swab as to be transported to the CBNAAT location for needful investigation and action.
In NPCDCS program, people are screened for diabetes. The line list of diabetic patients is available with the NCD wing. The line list is to be collected and the people with the diabetes to be screened for TB.
The link between the diabetes and Tuberculosis has been recognized for centuries. With the development of awareness and improvement in the economic status tuberculosis incidence have decreased in the developed countries.
