In today's scenario, any maternal death relating to anemia is not acceptable. The health department, Women and Child departments have brought different schemes to reach the antenatal care of pregnant women. Schemes like Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakrama under national health mission and Matru Purna Yojana by women and child department must have worked towards reducing the anemic cases in the country drastically and in the state of Karnataka in particular. If any deaths are occurring because of anemia it is the combined failure efforts of ASHA, AWW, ANM.and the system as a whole.
