DETAILS OF MEDICAL EXAMINATION OF 0-6 YEAR CHILDREN ATTENDING ANGANAWADI DISTRICT HAVEERI YEAR 2016-17

             Total number of Anganawadis in the district are 1914. Taluka wise split of anganawadis is as follows 283 in Haveri , 162 in Byadagi, 373 in Ranebennur, 339 in Hirekerur, 205 in Savanur, 233 in Shiggaon, 319 in Hangal. 0-6 years children enrolled in AWCs in the district total was 405411. 153057 children enrolled in the Anganawadi center were weighed. 37954 children in the age group who were enrolled for the anganawadi were found to be moderately under weighed and 1061 children were found to be severely under weight. Total number of 0-6 years children examined by doctors at anganawadis 96281 children. Total number of severely underweight children examined and treated by phc medical officer 1040 children.  46 severely underweight 0-6 year children are referred to the chc/sdh/dh for further treatment out of which only 30 were examined by the pediatrician at the chc/tlh/dh.
