Lob Debnath, a wage earner from Baishgharia village in Teliamura, strangled
baby Lina on Tuesday and dumped her body in a ditch near his home, police said.
Debnath was arrested on Wednesday.
This is a second incidence of death reported in a span of 3 days due to poverty. None of these deaths made headlines. Not even a single TV channel called for the high level talk. Priyanka Chopra's father death was covered by entire media. If even an actress sits, stands it becomes big news. People are busy about talking about upcoming elections. Who have times to discuss for the deaths due to poverty.
Indian health industry and hotel industry are brothers in hand. They wish to reap the maximum out of the patient and the customer pocket respectively. People don't have jobs, create the jobs. Don't urbanize India. India is a country of villages. Villages are the back bone of the nation. Ensure that the villages are kept in good mood. It is the duty of the government to ensure that the proper and hygienic health facility is provided to the people .
Private medical institutes have turned out to be money makers and the doctors who used government money through reservation scheme. They are not ready to work in the villages and the remote areas.
