Mr. S L Dharme Gowda s/o S R Lakshmaiah, sakarayapatna, Kadur Taluk, Chikmagalore District, aged 64, is the MLC (Member of Legislative Council) and Dy Chairman of Karnataka Upper House- Karnataka Vidhana Parishad, Karnataka is died on dark night of 28.12.2020.

Mr, Dharmegowda hailing from political family where father Lakshmaiah is a politician, brother Mr. Bhojegowda is a politician The suicide has shocked the Karnataka political community and public. The incident of manhandling in the upper house by the Congress MLCs could have upset him and psychologically impacted the low profile good politician. 

A daring politician suicide puts questions on the behaviour of others in the closed environment. This is an living example, how group of people untoward behaviour could effectively lead to the death of a person. 

His body found on the railway tracks, run over by the train. Death note found near the body. The death note speaks about the distribution of property and expressed his despair about the manhandling in the upper house. 

The probe is to take place by the authority to look into the other reason for the sudden ending of life by the people loved politician.

This suicide is not acceptable to Chikkmagaloreans.  The educated MLCs who manhandled him to be sent behind the bars.

The Personal assistants, Guards, Drivers of politicians must be able to sense the danger and act to prevent untoward incident apart from being just doing the duty by the book. They need to be trained on sensing events like these. In this incident driver, personal assistant were sent back.
